Homeland Security and Emergency Management Certificate
The 6-course professional certificate provides a comprehensive curriculum covering the core aspects of homeland security and emergency management theory and practice. All core courses must be completed within a 5-year period for a total of 22 units. All the candidates completing the requirements are awarded a certificate that bears the gold seal of the University of California and is signed by the dean of UCLA Extension. The curriculum is intended for:
· Government agency employees (federal, state, local)
· Private business managers in such areas as human resources, finance, project management, communications, and facilities management
· Real estate and private property managers
· Military personnel transitioning into civilian careers
· Current college students or recent college graduates looking for socially satisfying careers
