Hezbollah has strong support from Iran, and it is operating openly and freely in two nations (that counts Palestine as a nation) and has tremendous resources compared with Al-Qaeda "the organization" that is holed up in Pakistan or Afghanistan.
What Al-Qaeda has going for it is the large number of non-affiliated dispersed groups of individuals and small cells that spring up on the radar screen from time to time. They are an uncoordinated lot, compared to Hezbollah.
