DHS Leadership Journal is an interesting read. Here's my thoughts about it:

- It is another form of "news release" versus true messaging directly from the writer
- While the personal pronoun "I" is used for the Janet Napolitano posting--I just find it hard to believe that she writing the text that looks better suited for a professional document.
- What is good is that there is a feedback mechanism with the ability to leave comments. Is anyone from the department reading them, and then what do they do with them?
Maybe with this initial step things will be better over time and not just become another "Official" way of distributing information.
