I saw this job advertisement for a Senior Project Officer--Adaptable Communities which is one I've not seen before. And, the position is in the Department of Sustainability and Environment.
Which got me thinking that this will be a new trend for the future--for sure. Resiliency and sustainability go hand in hand with disaster mitigation, climate adaptation, preparedness, etc. If you are looking to establish a new FTE position in your organization (emergency management) you might think about incorporating some of this type of language into the position to make it more attractive to decision makers who have to fund the position and also it is a good move to increase the resiliency of your jurisdiction or organization.
