Masters in Strategic Planning for Critical Infrastructures (MSPCI)

The University of Washington has an on-line Masters in Strategic Planning for Critical Infrastructure (MSPCI).

I'm on the Advisory Board for the MSPCI. We had a great board meeting this afternoon. Talked about the curriculum for the course and challenges of keeping the degree program meaningful and current. This is a dynamic field that this course is providing a degree in.

Unlike many (I'll call them diploma mills) this is a two year program that is pretty rigorous with 52 graduate credits. They are looking to revise the curriculum, adding a transportation course for 2009. I suggested having a course that addresses the impacts of climate change and adaptation since critical infrastructure will have some issues to deal with. It was on the list of things they were considering.

Check out the link above if you are trying to find a program that meets your needs for an advanced degree that is both general in nature, but with some targeted expertise in CIP.
