"It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit." Harry Truman One of the primary issues in regionalization is that no one wants to see any single jurisdiction accumulating authority, power, or influence. One way to counter act this very human line of thinking is to always defer to others by giving credit to others. Yes, you may have played a key role, yes, you may have been the glue that held the coalition together, but if you want to see everything start to unravel, start singing the, "Me, my, I Song" and your regional efforts can disintegrate before your eyes. Let others have and take the credit. Those people in the know will recognize what you did without trumpeting it at the cost of relationships to other people and organizations.
