If you are looking for a good way to get feedback on an issue, consider using SurveyMonkey as a tool to reach out to people.

Due to the significant and "new" risk of flooding in the Green River basin in King County the King County Flood Control District has set up a survey for businesses in the Green River Valley.

Check it out. You can just page through the survey without filling it out to see the types of information they are trying to collect.

It is good to see that they are also sharing the RPIN web site with people as they complete the survey. RPIN is multi-jurisdictional, just like the Green River. It will flood multiple communities. You need regional solutions for issues like flooding and warning. RPIN is a great example of what communities can do together. This is a tool we developed together with our regional partners when I was with King County Office of Emergency Management.
