Climate adaptation will be the major emphasis for generations of emergency managers to come. It is "the issue" of our time and profession (until of course someone pops a nuke). Getting smart on climate change and tactics and techniques we might use in our communities is something we need to start focusing on. Note the reference below in the book description on the Netherlands. There they plan for 5,000 year events, here we are lucky if people are thinking 100 years.
