Welcome to Port Security Today!

This is my third blog that I've started. The first two, Disaster-Zone and Jobs Eric Has Heard About focus on emergency management and homeland security. While Port Security can be encompassed within homeland security there is a definite need for more focus on the topic.

Ports play critical roles in the United States for both the import and export of finished products and raw materials. Their functioning requires a web of security measures that keep ports functioning smoothly and commerce flowing into and out of their terminals.

Technology continues to advance and with those improvements there is a need to determine which measures make the most sense and where you should invest scarce monetary resources. I'll be working to share lessons learned, ideas, developements and product information specifically targeted towards Port Security Today here in this Blog.

Feel free to send me information and web links that you come across that may be of interest to others.
