Remember that the world of technology is changing faster than most of us can keep up with. What has worked in the past will continue to work, but not at the speed of change that is happening today. There are new tools to be utilized and more people to be included in the "big tent" of emergency management. As resources decline we need to tap the talents and energy of those people--around the world--who are willing to help us.
Most emergency managers will acknowledge the contribution that HAM Radio Operators bring to the team. Now you can use them and another army of people who are communications savvy and ready to help. Don't shut them out of your team!
