The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant ("JAG") Program is the primary provider of federal criminal justice funding to state and local jurisdictions. JAG funds support all components of the criminal justice system, from multijurisdictional drug and gang task forces to crime prevention and domestic violence programs, courts, corrections, treatment, and justice information sharing initiatives. The JAG $10K and Under Equipment Program is funding to assist state and units of local government in procurement of equipment or services for law enforcement agencies. Such procurement of equipment, contractual services, or operating expenses shall not exceed $10,000.00. This solicitation is for the procurement of audio/video recording equipment and accessories for agencies to become compliant with Indiana Rules of Court, Evidence Rule 617. Funds under the JAG $10K and Under Program for Evidence Rule 617 are to be expended by law enforcement agencies for equipment, contractual services, and/or operating expenses only for audio/video recording equipment and accessories. Any other budget items will not be allowed.
