Emergency grants are available to any health-focused nonprofit operating within the MFH service region. Type 1 emergencies include catastrophic events, either natural or man-made, that immediately affect the ability of an eligible nonprofit to deliver critical services to its clients and the community, and can't be accommodated from resources available to the organization. Type 2 emergencies include unanticipated events, other than loss/reduction of funding, which is beyond the control of an organization's ability to maintain its programs and can't be accommodated from resources available to the organization. Emergency funding is available only for activities directly related to maintenance of health and delivery of medical care, which includes provision of food. Use of MFH funds for non-health expenses (such as housing and utilities) will be limited to situations in which a family member has special health needs that cannot be met in an emergency housing situation.
None is available.
