Two bridges flanking a stretch of West Texas border fence have been providing easy passage between the United States and Mexico for an unknown number of potential smugglers and illegal immigrants, The Washington Times reported. A spokeswoman for the International Boundary and Water Commission, which maintains the position of the border, told the Associated Press the supports under the bridge are necessary to keep the border from shifting. But local law enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents are concerned the bridges are providing easy access to the United States.
