The Federal Emergency Management Agency on March 8 announced the availability of public assistance funds to help California and affected local governments in the area struck by severe winter storms, flooding, debris and mud flows during the period of Jan. 17, 2010, to Feb. 6, 2010, cover the cost of recovery.
