The Federal Emergency Management Agency released a draft of the National Disaster Recovery Framework. The framework is designed to help the emergency management community work better together to ensure the long-term recovery of communities impacted by disaster. Developed in conjunction with the Long Term Disaster Recovery Working Group, the framework drew on input from the emergency management community across the nation including government agencies, volunteer organizations and the private sector.

The framework will be published in the Federal Register on Feb. 8, and interested parties have until Feb. 26 to submit comments. It will be available at http://www.regulations.gov by entering docket number ‘FEMA-2010-0004’ as a search term.

The National Disaster Recovery Framework draft is available here.
