Minnesota will take over as the national coordinating state for the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC) on Dec. 1, according to the Pioneer Press. Kris Eide, a division director at the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, will serve as chairwoman of the group. Minnesota’s emergency compact coordinator, Kim Ketterhagen, will lead the group’s executive task force. Minnesota be the EMAC’s national coordinating state for the next 15 months.
