A second security breach at BC Place Stadium has resulted in a review of safety procedures at the major Olympic venue in Vancouver.

An individual with a valid ticket for an event at BC Place Monday evening was carrying a bag that security screeners had run through a scanning machine and determined they wanted to inspect more closely. But the person walked away from the screening station with the bag before it could be inspected again, said Cpl. Jen Allan of the Integrated Security Unit (ISU), the RCMP-led police force in charge of Olympic security.

Allen didn't say whether police thought the individual knew that security staff wanted to inspect the bag and was trying to elude them. The RCMP did a thorough sweep of the 60,000-seat stadium at the end of the evening and found nothing suspicious.
