A magnitude 6.4 earthquake rattled southern Taiwan Thursday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. According to CNN, no deaths have been reported as a result of the quake that has damaged buildings and bridges, knocked out power near the epicenter in Taitung County and disrupted high-speed train service. A spokesman for the relief organization World Vision that has personnel engaged in relief efforts in Haiti and Chile said the group is closely monitoring the earthquake in southern Taiwan.
