Transitions: New Mexico has New Leadership in Emergency Management and Homeland Security

BY: Eric Holdeman | June 13, 2012

When I worked for ICF International Anita was the lead for our emergency management and homeland security division.  See announcement below:

Gov. Susana Martinez's administration has named a Santa Fe woman as deputy secretary of the Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management.

Anita Tallarico has been serving as the chief executive officer of a consulting business.

Tallarico earned an undergraduate degree from the University of New Mexico and a master's degree in planning from Florida State University.

Homeland Security Secretary Greg Meyers said Tallarico has decades of experience in emergency management and planning.

Part of her experience was development of hurricane and hazardous materials emergency management plans for several counties in southern Florida.
